TEAM BRACKETS UPDATE!

Give a BIG hand to Team Spinal Tap!  They gave a Valiant effort throughout AGL 9 this year.  It's unfortunate that their run has come to an end so soon, but this is how Champions are made.  It's not the Team that come in out of no where and is an overnight sensation.  It's the guys who come together and tough it out through the thick and the thin.  It's the team that goes head on against the number one team at tourney and walks away with a better understanding of what it takes to be number one.  My hat is off to the members of Team Spinal Tap, I Dodge Bulletz, FloppiE, Collinonp3, and Serpuh (And Coach Sergio!) Learn from this and regroup.  You guys are Champion material!

TEAM SPINAL TAP @ AGL 9 in ATLANTA!!

Hey Folks here's your first Look at Team Spinal Tap.  Holding it down @ AGL 9 in Atlanta Ga.
So far it's been a pretty good showing for the Team.  FloppiE had a great run in the FFA making it to the Semi-finals.  I Dodge Bulletz and FloppiE had a great start in the 2x2 competition.  We'll find out the results on tomorrow.  Let's Cheer the Team On!

End of week 1/Start of week 2 HALO 4 CHAMPIONSHIPS

Well Folks, week number one of the Halo 4 Global Championship is over.  I ended with a final rank somewhere around 11,200...  Not so good huh.  Well it's partly due to not playing much on Friday and Saturday.  Water under the bridge.  Now we're onto week number two, SWAT!  I got about six matches in this morning from 6 to 7 am.  Can't say that I had a spectacular performance.  I can say that I really enjoyed playing SWAT in Reach and am looking to re-kindle the relationship lol.  I noticed with SWAT is really aggressive and you have to get out there early.  I'll be posting some gameplay soon so stay on the look out.

We there you have it Folks, I"m finally on the board.  I can't say that I've had many fabulous matches.  I had 1 second place so far.  It's getting better, but I still have a ways to go.  I'll give it another go this evening.  Maybe I'll start to fill a rhythm.

WEEK 1 of HALO 4 Global Championship!!

What's up Folks?  Guess what, I registered for the HALO 4  Global Championship!  Yeah I know, your thinking, does he really think that he stands a chance?  Well I entered more as a challenge to myself.  That's what GAME SKILLS  is all about, getting better at something.  So today was my first official playing session.  Completed 8 matches.  Unfortunately the highest place that I got was 3rd :(  lol.  The good news is this, the match making is great as well as the speed between matches (much better than usual multi-player gameplay).  I really can't complain too much about the connection either!  Right now it looks like there's about 8,000 people competing.  If you're thinking about it, jump in.  Here's a pick of who's in the #One spot.

Return to my roots..

Had to return to my roots last night... Gears... had a little over 2 straight hours of game play.... some of it so-so, but there were a few highlights.  Shout out to our make shift team.  I'll be posting the video soon.  Although I'm taking a little break from HALO 4 I'm not done.  Almost to my 130 and I'm going to make it a goal to get to CSR 50 in Regicide!  :)  I'll keep you posted.

Status UPDATE (post Comcast visit)

What's up folks?  I'm back and I have a brief status update for you.  Well since I had Comcast to pay me a visit I must say that my Xbox live experience has been much better.  I can honestly say that I now feel, at the least, competitive during my online matches.  I still get my butt handed to me from time to time (how about my last 5 matches of Regicide :( ), but I believe that that is mainly due to wrong tactical decision making.  I've got some new videos of my matches coming, but I wanted to match sure that my new experiences were consistent and not a fluke.  Stay tuned!

Team Just Warming Up is Now Team Lifted!

Status update:  The crew that made up Team Just Warming Up are now Team Lifted.  The current roster is I Dodge Bulletz, Guffin, FloppiE and (update needed).  Been talking to Zach and he's got some good things to say about the squad.  So let make sure that we cheer them on as they go this week to AGL 7 Battlefield Knoxville to compete against 62 other teams.  Take a look at the Jerseys.

Power A Fus1on REVIEW and Thoughts

Hey Folks!  I'm still here.  Thought that I'd share the latest video that I uploaded.  I did a quick little review on the new controller I bought, the Power A Fus1on.  I like it a lot and I see/feel the difference in my gaming performance.  Am I ready to go Pro?  Probably not, but I do believe that I am now a more competitive player.  Take a look at the video below.

Ahh just in time.  Another Pro Tip from Zach Davis aka i_dodge_bulletz.  This is Pro Tip # 5 and the last one.  Have you ever been charging up the rail gun only to find that there's no target in site?  Don't waste that shot.  Learn the trick to stop it before it shoots.

Hey Folks!  Zach sent me some of the pics from the AGL Tournament this past weekend.  Again Team Just Warming Up placed 29th out of about 64 teams.  That's not bad for your very first pro level event!  Here's a pic of the team members that went.

Past Events at the Microsoft Store

I said that it would go down and GO DOWN it did!  We had an awesome time at the GAME SKILLS Exhibition tourney that went down on yesterday.  HUGE THANKS to Zach and Travis for coming through and gracing us with their pro level skills.  Awesome Thanks to Carsen Miller for making the course such a success and being a great team player.  Again we had a blast and it was a great learning experience.  Keep and eye out for both Zach and Carsen as they continue on with their Halo 4 careers.  Check out the pics of the winners below.  Stay in touch with GAME SKILLS and we'll let you know when the next event will be held.

Whoa!  Some serious action went down over the weekend.  I attended the Atlgamers Halo 4 2v2 Tournament and got some amazing revelation (not to mention I got my world rocked during my matches).  Come and find out exactly what I've learn and how it's totally changed my game (for the better).  Don't miss the last session before the Exhibition Tournament on the 22nd.

GAME SKILL Competitive Gaming Course and Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR fellow game enthusiast!  Here's another action packed episode for your enjoyment pleasure.  Today I bringing you some more Infinity Slayer on the map Abandon (becoming one of my favorite maps :D ).  I'm trying out a new format for my videos with the hopes of being able to deliver content to you more efficiently.  Let me know what you think.
